Predictive modeling is the key factor for saving time and resources with respect to manufacturing processes such as fermentation arising e.g. in food chemical processes. According Zhang et al. (2002), open-loop dynamics of yeast are highly dependent on initial cell mass distribution. This can be modeled via population balance models describing single-cell behavior cell. There have already been several wine literature. However, new model introduced this paper much more detailed than ones studied previously. white process based a combination components previously It turns it into system nonlinear weakly hyperbolic partial/ordinary integro-differential equations. becomes very challenging from theoretical numerical point view. Existence uniqueness solutions simplified version problem semigroup theory. For its solution methodology finite volume scheme combined implicit derived.
